The Department of Critical Care Centre at CHPL Hospital offers 24*7 care to patients in potentially life-threatening conditions who need continuous monitoring to be carried out by the multidisciplinary team. The discipline, generally the most expensive, technologically advanced, and resource-intensive area of medical care, integrates many specialties and diverse technologies, holding out the hope of survival to patients who are acutely and critically ill.
Our Critical care team comprising specially trained physicians, anesthetists, surgeons, nurses, and allied health care professionals partner together 24 hours a day to ensure quality care for each individual patient.
They provide the full spectrum of medical, surgical and trauma critical care services to patients including the psychological, physical, and emotional needs of the patient.
With the state of the art Central monitoring system, All invasive and minor surgical procedures are done at the bedside. Facilities exist for bedside Dialysis, Bronchoscopy, Endoscopy, Echocardiography, Ultrasonography etc.
A lot of emphasis is also placed on areas like nurses training, standardizing care through clinical pathways and documentation of ethical and economic issues pertaining to Critical Care, managing the in-hospital environment, infection control.
